PTA Colour Run Success!
Congratulations to our PTA for organising an incredible Colour Run event! The weather was absolutely perfect, and it was wonderful to see our tamariki running, laughing, and enjoying themselves with their friends. These events bring our kura community together, and we are so grateful to everyone who contributed to its success.

We were so proud of our Year 3 tamariki who performed their Arts showcase last week for the school and whānau. They did so well and we loved every item!

Year 1 and 2 Athletics – What a Day!
Yesterday, our Year 1 and 2 tamariki had an awesome time at their Athletics event! It was great to see many whānau attend to watch them try their best at every event and cheer them on. A massive thanks to everyone who supported or helped make the day run smoothly—you’re legends! What a fun day for our youngest athletes—ka pai, Year 1 and 2! 🌟

Year 6 Waimarino Trip
As a special way to mark the end of their primary school journey with us, our Year 6 students enjoyed their much-anticipated trip to Waimarino. This was a fantastic day of fun together as a team before they move on to the next stage of their schooling.

Mural - Collaboration with RHS Students
We were presented with our mural project last week and it was blessed by George Kana, our Kaumatua. We are in the process of attaching it to the hall wall. It is absolutely stunning and showcases the beauty of our local environment. Congratulations to everyone involved with this project and a special thank you to Helen Hart and Tina Anderson for working closely with the three talented students (Zara, Nina and Darliss) from Rototuna High School to make this mural a reality. It is a special taonga (treasure) for our kura 🌟 Zara, Nina and Darliss also won a Rototuna High School Award for their contribution to the community as a result of their mural collaboration with our school.

Ngāti Wairere Visit – A Special Celebration
Last week, we had the privilege of welcoming Ngāti Wairere Kaumātua and representatives to our kura for a truly special occasion. Together, we celebrated our new vision, Kia Manawanui – Strong of Heart, and acknowledged the incredible contributions of Ngāpare Hopa, our Kaumātua. It was an honour to share this milestone with Ngāti Wairere, whose guidance and wisdom continue to enrich our kura. The visit was a powerful reminder of the importance of connection, culture, and community in shaping who we are and where we are heading. Ngā mihi nui to everyone who made this event so meaningful—it is a moment we will cherish as we carry our vision forward. 🌿
