A Message from Kylie
Kia Ora whānau,
Welcome to the last week of Term 3. The year is certainly flying by!
This year marks 50 years of Te Wiki o te Reo Māori – a milestone in the movement to revitalise and celebrate te reo as the language of Aotearoa. It is a great opportunity for us as a kura to weave even more te reo into our everyday practice. I know we will have a fabulous last week of term celebrating, learning and extending our te reo Māori together. Kia kaha te reo Māori! Our Kapa Haka Rōpu will be performing in the annual Te Pae Here Te Reo Māori showcase at Endeavour School on Wednesday 17 September from 6.30pm. Good luck team!

This week, we farewelled Dee-Anne Leith, who has served our kura with dedication and commitment over the past six years. We are very grateful for her contribution and service. We are also pleased to have Matt Hansen, Ali Price, Neil Parkinson, and Jane Bibby (staff representative) continuing in their trustee roles for the next three years, ensuring valuable continuity which provides great strength for our school. A warm congratulations and welcome to our newly elected trustees, Priyanka Roberts and Amanda Morgan, who join the Board of Trustees. The overall results of the recent Board of Trustees elections are published in this newsletter.
Thank you to all of the parents who made a booking to meet with their child's teacher last week during our Hui Noho Tahi (Parent - Teacher Interviews). With over 480 interviews taking place, it was wonderful to see such strong partnerships between home and school, supporting our tamariki with their progress and next steps.
I wish you all a safe and happy term break. We look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed and ready for the final term of the year.
Ngā mihi
Kylie
